Want to get back on your bike, without breaking a sweat?

Now's your chance with Chargd's Back on Your Bike program! You and up to five mates/family members/coworkers can test out some leading ebikes through the local area. 
Feel the wind in your hair, explore the beautiful nature through the Linear Park trails, and embrace the opportunity to get active in the outdoors.
 
 
 
Thanks to Campbelltown City Council, we provide access to 6 electric bikes and helmets, allowing participants to explore our beautiful community in a safe and environmentally-friendly manner.
 

How does it work?

  1. Simply fill out the form below to register your interest.
  2. We will then be in contact to confirm availability of your preferred time.
  3. Meet us at the Chargd store 5 minutes before your designated time.
  4. You will be guided by someone from Chargd.
  5. Have a great time!
  6. Return the bikes back to the Chargd store at the designated finish time.

Don’t have a group of 6? Don’t worry, just let us know how many people and we can arrange for you to join a group.

The Back on Your Bike program is all about getting our community active, connected, and thinking green. At Chargd, we’re committed to sustainability and innovation, and we believe this initiative will boost local businesses and bring our community closer together.

We want everyone, especially older community members, to stay active and healthy. That’s why we’re offering free access to electric bikes. It’s a great way to get fit, explore our beautiful area, and improve overall wellbeing.


Plus, it’s a fun way to meet new people or enjoy shared experiences with friends, family or coworkers. So come join us, hop on a bike, and let’s ride together!

Location


The designated routes, starting from the Chargd carpark at 637 Lower North East Road, Campbelltown, offer a 3.8km round trip journey, including Tranquil Court Reserve and the River Torrens Linear Park, Greenglade Playground area and Lochiel Park and return.
 
Additionally, the route offers an opportunity for riders to view Lochiel Park and its associated sustainable living, as part of their environmental learning journey.
 
This program is possible thanks to Campbelltown City Council.

 
 

 

NB: This program is not riding lessons or "how-to". This program is an opportunity to empower you to choose an ebike and adopt a new lifestyle! Plus, explore some of the local area. You need to know how to ride a bike before attending one of these sessions.

Terms and Conditions for the Back on Your Bike Program


Whilst the program is open to anyone, preference will be given to residents of City of Campbelltown, and older population community members and/or people with disability or reduced mobility.

Please advise an accessibility requirements ahead of time, so we can do our best to accommodate. Maximum of 6 people only.

Eligibility
1.1. Participants must be 18 years or older.

1.2. Participants must sign a waiver and release of liability form before using the electric bikes.

1.3. Valid identification is required for bike access.

Bike usage
2.1. Bikes and helmets are provided free of charge.

2.2. Bikes are to be used only on designated routes and per the person guiding.

2.3. Participants must wear a helmet at all times while riding.

2.4. Bikes must be returned to the designated Chargd carpark at 637 Lower North East Road, Campbelltown, after use.

2.5. You will be allocated an ebike
at the store. This will be determined by Chargd.

Safety and Conduct
3.1. Participants must adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations.

3.2. Participants are responsible for their own safety and must ride in a manner that does not endanger themselves or others.

3.3. Any damage to bikes or helmets must be reported immediately.

3.4 It is recommended that you wear bright coloured, cycle-friendly clothing on your ride as a safety precaution.

3.5 Please familiarise yourself with the road safety laws. These can be emailed to you upon request or downloaded here.

3.6 You MUST wear closed toe shoes.

Reservation and Cancellation
4.1. Reservations can be made online or at the designated location prior. Chargd will confirm your date and time once you have submitted the expression of interest form.

4.2. Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance.

4.3 Chargd reserves the right to cancel at any time and only the nominated contact person will be advised. It is then the responsibility of the nominated contact person to contact all group members/attendees.

4.4 Rides can only go ahead if weather permitting.

4.5 All participants must arrive at least 10 minutes prior to booking time, to be fitted for helmet.

4.6 Ride time may vary slightly, and you may arrive back at the designated spot earlier or later than arranged.

Liability
5.1. Chargd is not responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses
incurred while participating in the program.

5.2. Participants agree to
indemnify and hold harmless Chargd from any claims arising from their use of the bikes.

Maintenance and Care
6.1. Participants must ensure bikes are kept in good condition and report any issues immediately.

6.2. Bikes should not be left unattended or unsecured.

Program Modifications
7.1. Chargd reserves the right to modify or terminate the program at any time without prior notice.

7.2. Any changes to the terms and conditions will be updated here. It is the responsibility of participants to stay informed of the current terms and conditions here.

Privacy
8.1. Personal information collected during registration will be used
solely for program or store marketing purposes and will not be shared with third parties, unless legally required to do so. The only exception to this is that we may share your details with Campbelltown City Council as part of our grant acquittal process.

Marketing

9.1 By participating in this program, you consent to any marketing material or promotional photography/videography that we undertake during the session to be used as part of our broader marketing material.
